Spy photographers have spotted a prototype for a new generation of the Porsche 911 Turbo, the everyday supercar. The prototype may look like testers for the Carrera. However, a number of clues identify it as the new Turbo.
As the naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V-12 approaches its virtuosic 8200-rpm redline, it produces an evocative wail unlike almost anything else on the road.
Take a peek under that clamshell hood, and you’ll find the 2018 Aston Martin Vantage’s all-alloy twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 powerplant, with 503 horsepower!
In case you missed it, the hypercar’s (unverified) claims to fame include 5,000 horsepower from a quad-turbocharged V-16 engine and a 348 mph top speed.
